Let's see:

My favorite cards where NEVER selected for power only. Power played a role later on, but not early.
Except for Dark Magician.

The history of my favorite monsters:

Dark Magican: Yugi Starter's strongest card, also my first gold rare. (2002 - 2002)
Koumori Dragon: I liked the pic (2002 - 2002)
Blue Eyes White Dragon: Epic looking, first yugioh card I ever saw that dragged me into the series and dueling. I didn't actually own one until 2004. My brother got Kaiba's starter. That happened the day I saw it. I got Yugi's, much to my dismay. (2002-2006)
Red Eyes Black Dragon - LOVED it in the show, bought the tin, plus I got it in Joey's starter, even though my brother got Joey's starter before me. IT STILL has place in most of my decks. (2002 - 2010)

Jinzo: Joey's new card, epic looking IMHO (2003 - 2010) got it in a the tin Christmas the year it came out.

Tri-Horned Dragon - (2004 - 2010) I got this in my booster box I got for my 9th birthday or Christmas the month before, I don't remember. My first secret rare.

Serpent Knight Dragon (2004 - 2010) My first secret rare from a non-booster box. I actually had this card stolen from me. I bought another pack in like 2006 and got the same card. Epic.

Obelisk the Tormentor (2006 - 2006) Got this god card for my birthday from my mom. My friends let me use it's effect that was online as long as I had all my cards in sleeves even though it's tornament illegal.

Winged Kuriboh (2007 - 2009) Traded 1st Edition Gold Rare Exodia Necross for this card, Transdant Wings, Flame Wingman, and Winged Kuriboh lvl 10.

Cyber Dragon - 2010 - Now.
I love this card. Is there any reason not to love this card?
It's not even about his effect. I just love it =D.

All the Destiny Heroes are my faves XP but if i had to pick one would be Destiny Hero-Doom Lord~

I used to dream of it sometimes and I like it's effect~ I never cared for the Attack Points nor the Life points as long as u can win faster than your opponent than life points worth nothing xD

Mine has always been the Dark Magician. I had a copy of the card Yugi used until my "friend" tore iy in half. I ended up getting a new one, and I eventually got a copy of Skilled Dark Magician, so I've got a combo going with those two.
